- ComputerLiteracy Programme initiated by Sankhasuvra Welfare Society Hooghly
The programme wasinitiated in the year 2012 with the sole aim of making the children of themarginalized households computer literate. These children are less fortunate& less privileged; they cannot gain access to the premium institutes in thetown for learning computers, where the course fee for every course is very highin comparison to the economic condition of the parents of those children.
pre present there are 50(fifty)students belonging to the age group of 8 to 18 who all are extracting benefitsfrom the programme.
at That is why weinitiated this programme
a) Lack of proper infrastructure in the school for teaching computers,
b) Sheer negligence exhibited on behalf of the teachers while teachingcomputers,
c) High ticket computer courses available in the town which areoffered by the premium institutes,
d) Slow learning attitude exhibited by the beneficiaries.
